Ohio Mega Fall Festival Weekend: September 19-22, 2024

Pickle Fest, Flat Rock Creek, Backwoods, Arts in the Alley, Turtle Fest.
Mothman too!

Once again, Ohio, there are a LOT of festivals. And it’s not only Ohio, so even consider some nearby out-of-state fests this weekend – like the Mothman Festival, for example.

Let’s take a look at some of the festivals this weekend…

The Cleveland Pickle Fest (Review) takes place in Mall B, offering local pickle vendors with free samples, pickle foods and pickle beer.

Backwoods Fest (Review) in Thornville is a HUGE shopping festival with 300 gift vendors, old fashioned food galore (the kind the fill the belly before and after some shopping), music entertainment and more.
Get there early.

Flat Rock Creek Fall Festival (Review) in Paulding is a large festival with plenty of flea market and craft vendors, entertainment and food vendors run by local organizations.

The Ohio Renaissance Festival (2024 Review) in Waynesville offers 24 stages, over 100 shops, plenty of food, games, fun and more.
It’s one of the best Renaissance Festivals around.

The Davis-Besse Community Day and Car Show (Review) in Oak Harbor an annual celebration with a 500+ car show, food vendors, large raffle, DJ and various kids activities such as bounce houses, petting zoo, and train rides.

The Tiffin Seneca Heritage Festivals (Review) in Tiffin is a double festival since there is a traditional festival located in downtown Tiffin and a “Living Village” festival at Hedges Boyer Park.

The Jackson Apple Festival (Review) offers a little bit of everything: a midway with rides and games, contests and competitions, live entertainment, an assortment of vendors, and food to enjoy with a huge selection of apple-based desserts.

Arts in the Alley (Review) in Grove City is a large arts festivals where over 100 artists. Visitors can also enjoy a nice selection of food vendors, more gift vendors, live entertainment and a children’s area with artistic activities and fun.

The Preble County Pork Festival (Review) in Eaton promotes the area’s pork industry through demonstrations, pig races, and plenty of pork food products. There are also 350 arts and crafts vendors.

The FireFish Festival (Review) brings art, music, vendors, food and – eventually fire – to downtown Lorain as a large fish structure is set on fire at the end.

The Mothman Festival (Review) in Point Pleasant, West Virginia is just across the Ohio River and worth checking out. The festival celebrates the famous Mothman of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and its warning or cause of the Silver Bridge’s 1967 collapse. The festival has live music, a great assortment of cryptid vendors, nice food options and so much more. It’s a nice time to also visit the museum while visiting.

And there’s so much more!

Such as…

  • Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Greek Festival (Review) in Akron
  • the Centerburg Oldtime Farming Festival (Review)
  • Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, USA  (Review) in Cincinnati
  • Tremont Arts and Cultural Festival (Review) in Cleveland
