Woollybear, Grape Jamboree, Sorghum, Ingenuity, Mums, Swiss Cheese, and Oktoberfests too!
It’s the last weekend of September and the festivals are not slowing down. There are over 100 festivals, fairs and shows this weekend going on all over the state.
Here are just some of the great festivals going on this weekend…
The Woollybear Festival (Review) returns to Vermilion with over 100k festival fans, an enormous parade, Cleveland Fox8 staff, competitions, kids and pets in Woollybear costumes, competitions and more.
Geneva Grape Jamboree (Review) celebrates its grape heritage with freshly squeezed grape juice, wine, grape ice cream and pie. There are also a nice selection of food trucks, vendors and a carnival area with rides and games..
Barberton Mum Fest (Review) takes place at Lake Anna Park, where mums transform the area into a breathtaking scene. Festival goers can enjoy a good amount of shopping, eating and activities.
The John Roger Simon Sorghum Festival (Review) in West Portsmouth allows visitors to tour the 5th generation French homestead while enjoying Appalachian folk music, food and heritage crafts. Sorghum syrup is also made during the festival, which visitors can purchase along with other sorghum food products.
The Roche de Boeuf Festival (Review) in Waterville offers music, a Pioneer Village, art, local businesses and food.
The Luckey Fall Festival (Review) offers a huge flea market, music, tractor pulls and a great assortment of food options.
The Ohio Swiss Festival (Review) in Sugarcreek is the perfect way to get more acquainted with both Swiss cheese and the town of Sugarcreek. Enjoy Polka music, rides, live entertainment, vendors, delicious grub and a great parade.
Country Applefest (Review) takes place at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Lebanon with music, plenty of apple foods and over 300 vendors.
The Barnesville Pumpkin Festival (Review) embraces pumpkins with various pumpkin displays, pumpkin treats, and pumpkin vendor items. There are rides, games, live entertainment and so much more to enjoy.
The Dayton Oktoberfest (Review) takes place on the grounds of the Dayton Art Institute, offering a great selection of food, beer and wine, while offering a showcase of artists in various mediums.
