12.) Oktoberfest Findlay Review – September 25, 2021

Right in the heart of downtown Findlay…

…Dave Malinowski and his band filled the streets with polka music…

…as visitors chose their souvenir stein for the evening…

…to go with their German Alpine Fedora or lederhosen…

…at this year’s Oktoberfest Findlay.

Not far from the entertainment stage was the Kinderplatz Kids Zone…

…where table activities taught children about vegetables, the German flag…

…and how to make things like pretzel necklaces.

Along Main Street, food trucks offered pretzels and pretzel calzones (Manny’s)…

…brats and fry pies (Saums Market)…

…German sausages and jumbo cream puffs (Schmidt’s)…

…as well as non-Germanic foods, such as crepes, tacos (Lyle’s Crepes/Stella Blue)…

…Italian sausage and pizza (Peter’s Dream Concessions/Campus Pollyeyes).

But let’s not forget about the beer.

Along with beer stations spread about…

…Ohio breweries shared their beer, ciders and seltzers from such cities as Logan (Brewery 33)…

…Sylvania (Inside the Five)…

…Toledo (Quenched and Tempered)…

…Defiance (4KD Crick)…

…and, of course, Findlay (Findlay Brewing/Modcraft Brewing)…

…each of which could be enjoyed while hanging out with friends…

..waiting for the next competition to take place…

…or standing in the Schmidt line for that jumbo cream puff (which was probably worth the wait).
