This post documents my experience on August 15, 2015.
The Hispanic Heritage Festival took place on Monument Avenue in Dayton…
…offering a covered performance area…
…for plenty of entertainment…
…a nicely sized kids area…

…equipped with a cool down tent and an activity table…
…many face painting options…
…and a handful of vendors selling sports team apparel…
…purses, accessories…
…and bubble machines galore.

The remaining non-food booths were hosted by community organizations mainly in the fields of medicine(Dayton VA/SNMA)…

…education (DSBA/Archdiocese of Cincinnati)…
…and the Latino culture (PACO).
But I, like many others, came for the grub, being able to choose between Puerto Rican…
…Columbian (La Colombiana)…
…Mexican…
…world fusion (Salar)…
…and more.
I finally decided on an arepa from El Meson…
…but then had to decide on whether I wanted to enjoy it with a beer…

…or some of the more exotic drinks available.
