This post documents my experience on September 22, 2013.

In Grove City’s Historic Town Center, a closed road was an open door…

…to a festival called Arts in the Alley…

…where 100 vendors lined along two streets…

…selling everything from crafts…

…ornaments…

…jewelry…

…art…

…colorful critters…

…and cool Ohio-shaped wall decor made from twine and nails (Zassy’s Treasures).

Food booths were run by local organizations…

…offering various dishes that included grilled bologna sandwiches (Lions)

…chicken tenders (Cub Scouts Pack 92)…

…basic festival fare…

…and a very popular cup of noodles (Grove City Community Club).

Along with face-painting possibilities…

…kids could take advantage of a large children’s activity area…

…where they could work on various art projects…

…pet some animals…

…play with toy trucks…

…or burn some calories in the jump house.

Adult entertainment was a bit more leisurely…

…as it was comprised of voting on a piece in the Fine Arts Show…

…sitting back to some musical entertainment (Chase)…

…or maybe even rocking out a bit (Vinyl Revival).

But for all festival goers…

…there were rules to be followed on the festival grounds…

…which included the prohibition of pets.

Hopefully, the other two were followed.
