Mega Festival Weekend with Hot Times, Black Swamp Arts, Sternwheels, Oktoberfests, Corn, Popcorn, Fish and Shrimp and more.
September may be Ohio’s biggest festival month, Festival Fans.
And there are some fantastic festivals to show for it this weekend!
Some festivals to consider this weekend include…
…the Black Swamp Arts Festival (Review) in downtown Bowling Green with over 100 artists, three stages of entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden and a Youth Arts Area.
Hot Times (Review) in Columbus is a “thank you” festival for all the Comfest volunteers (and fans) with food, great music, vendors and art cars.
Woofstock (Review) in Chagrin Falls has all sorts of dog vendors, food vendors for both dogs and humans, live entertainment, and dog activities.
The Beavercreek Popcorn Festival (Review) is a huge festival with many local organizations, vendors, food a-plenty and live entertainment.
Marion Popcorn Festival (Review) is another large festival (they get crowds of 250k) that takes place downtown where the streets are filled with vendors, local organizations, food and entertainment.
The Italian Fall Festa (Review) in Kettering is put on by the Sons of Italy and offers some great Italian food, entertainment, bocce and more.
The Ohio Fish and Shrimp Festival (Review) in Urbana takes place on the property of Freshwater Farms where guests can visit displays of fish, frogs, and turtles, shop among vendors, listen to some great live music and feast on shrimp, fish and dishes among various vendors.
The Greek-American Festival (Review) in Toledo has all your favorite Greek (and some non-Greek) dishes and desserts, live entertainment, some vendors and more.
The Ohio Sternwheel Festival (Review) in Marietta brings in about 40 sternwheelers, all sorts of vendors, live entertainment, delicious food and one of the best fireworks shows around.
The South Vienna Corn Festival (Review) in a large community festival where food booths are held by local organizations and groups, there are rides, entertainment, craft vendors and more.
The Columbus Oktoberfest (Review) is brought to you by Schmidt’s, so you’re guaranteed to find brats and cream puffs at this festival, as well as live German music and dancing, German games and competitions, vendors galore, stuff for the kids and a lot of fun.
