32.) Springboro Oktoberfest Review – September 13, 2014

Here, at the United Church of Christ…

…an Oktoberfest was taking place ($3 admission)……

…and it was actually a pretty nice one…

…with activities that included inflatables…

…kids’ games…

…raffling games (for booze)…

…gambling games…

…games of strength (stein-holding)…

…games of skill…

…and cultural entertainment.

There were various beer stands…

…and even a wine stand…

…making it really easy to sit back in the lounging areas…

…while snacking on pretzels…

…(perhaps topped with beer cheese)…

…or the tempting cream puffs.

And along with the desserts and snacks…

…there was plenty of good meal eating at the festival…

…with roasted chicken, schnitzel, cabbages (green and red), spaetzels and more.

They even had curry ketchup…

…which I used on my chicken, gouda and apple sausage…

…and I rather liked it.

Aside from eating and games, the courtyards were fun places to socialize…

…and show off your German pride…

…perhaps inspiring others to check out the souvenir booths…

…for more modern Germanic clothing to purchase…

…before calling it a night.
