…to the Italian Fall Festa…
…where they explored the grounds of the Son of Italy Lodge…
…to learn about Italian culture…
…browse through Italian American T-Shirts…
…enjoy musical entertainment…
…play some bocce ($20 an hour)…
…drop off the kids in the play area…
…enjoy a game or two…
…and, between it all, feast and feast among a large selection of food booths offering…
…pizza…
…pasta faglioli…
…meatball sandwiches…
…calzones…
…drinks…
…desserts…
…and more.
Festival goers could enjoy less-familiar foods with the help of displayed sample dishes…
…photographs…
…and purchasable samples for their convenience.
It was actually through seeing a sample that I decided on the muffaletta sandwich slice…
…eventually taking off the top slice so I could get more of the oliveness.
I finished my experience with a $1.25 cookie which, although a little expensive for my taste, was delicious too.
