The Renaissance Festival, Fair at New Boston, Cleveland Oktoberfest, Fort Rowdy Gathering. Plus Melon, Sweet Corn, Zucchini, Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka.
It’s a three-day weekend, Festival Fans.
That means an extra day for festivals, which is great because there are some fantastic festivals going on this weekend!
Some wonderful festivals to consider this weekend include…
…the Ohio Renaissance Festival (Review) in Waynesville.
This is actually the first weekend of many weekends for this festival where guests can enjoy 12 stages with over 100 shows, 150 arts and crafts shows, a great variety of food and drink, games, costumes and wonderful people watching and just overall fun.
The Fair at New Boston (Review) in Springfield is a festival set in 1790-1810 with period vendors, entertainment and food.
The Cleveland Oktoberfest (Review) at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds has weiner dog races, Glockenspiel performances, all sorts of entertainment, ethnic food and plenty of cold beer.
The Fort Rowdy Gathering (Review) in Covington takes visitors to a late 1700’s/early 1800’s trading village with vendors, food, living history and entertainment.
The Milan Melon Festival (Review) takes you to the town of Edison’s birth where there are all sorts of rides, food vendors and entertainment to be enjoyed.
The watermelon sherbet and muskmelon ice cream, made specially by Toft’s for the festival, are highly recommended!
The Millersport Sweet Corn Festival (Review) is a huge festival with rides, great entertainment, vendors and food run by non-profit and local organizations.
The Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival (Review) in Port Clinton is a cute festival put on by the Knights of Columbus. As the title explains, there are certain recommended dishes to try but there are other options as well. Polka lessons, some crafts and great music to also be enjoyed.
