Art in the Park Festival – Kent, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on September 13, 2015.

I headed to Kent’s Fred Fuller Park…

…for Art in the Park

…where artist booths were lined along the pathways…

…selling hand-crafted items made of glass…

…stainless steel (Alex Stoll)…

…ceramics (Kimberlyn Bloise)…

…wood (Tree City Carvers)…

…and even fairy wings.

There was a tent dedicated to younger artists selling their masterpieces…

…and a pocket of tents…

…dedicated to those in very old period clothing…

…some of whom decided to fence for all to see (Society for Creative Anachronism).

Elsewhere, you could find defense demonstrations…

…two stages of musical entertainment…

…all of which was fun to dance to…

…artistic activities for the kids…

…an alpaca to pet..

…and even a guy with a cat on leash…

…who turned out a be an eyeless cat rescued from a shelter…

…and the cat was a hit with the ladies.

A food area offered plenty of grub…

…from pierogi…

…to wood fired pizza…

…and I chose my lunch from Roll Call

…in the form of a rather delicious burger.
