Another Mega Festival Weekend!
It’s another huge weekend of festivals, Festival Fans.
There are over 100 festivals and shows this weekend so be sure to get out there.
Some festivals to consider this weekend include…
…Skunkfest (Review) in North Ridgeville is the only festival I know where you need to sign a waiver beforehand (that you won’t be petting skunks without permission and that you understand the risks).
There are skunk competitions, skunk vendors and a variety of skunks that people bring in (glands are removed). It’s not a huge festival but it is rather interesting and something fun to talk about with your friends.
Ohio Pawpaw Festival (Review) in Albany (near Athens) is family friendly festival where you can enjoy great music, learn/taste/purchase pawpaws (Ohio’s state fruit), indulge in pawpaw beers and foods and just be part of a fantastic Ohio festival.
Waterloo Arts Festival (Review) in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood has grown over the years with 7 entertainment stages, 90+ vendors, creativity stations, food and more.
Art Fair in the Square (Review) is a newer festival in downtown Oberlin with over 80 artists, food trucks and music entertainment.
The Rarden Whitetail Deer Festival (Review) is the back-to-school festival for hunters (the season isn’t so far away), but there is also entertainment, a variety of arts and crafts vendors and much more.
The Toledo Lighthouse Waterfront Festival (Review) at Maumee Bay State Park in Oregon has art and craft vendors, boat rides, entertainment and children’s activities. .
The Ohio Fish and Shrimp Festival (Review) in Urbana takes place on the property of Freshwater Farms where guests can visit displays of fish, frogs, and turtles, shop among vendors, listen to some great live music and feast on shrimp, fish and dishes among various vendors.
The Westside Flea (Review) in North Olmsted offers 100+ vendors, food trucks and live music. This is the last flea of the year.
The Waynesville Street Fair (Review) is a nice opportunity to visit downtown Waynesville while shopping among art and antique vendors, listening to music entertainment, grabbing food from a food truck and more. This is the last street fair of the year.
The Great Mohican Pow-Wow (Review) in Loudonville has a great line up of Native American dances and demonstrations, along with vendors and decadent frybread.
