Lake Loramie Harvest Festival – Minster, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on September 18, 2016.

I went to Lake Loramie State Park early Sunday morning…

…as campers leisurely enjoyed their breakfast…

…and antique machine owners worked to start up their contraptions…

…for the Lake Loramie Harvest Festival.

Tractors, both big and small, sat out on display…

…along with impressive farm equipment…

…and the cutest mechanisms.

Beyond that was an area of crafts…

…just beyond a few parked campers…

…and a small barrier.

From either minivans or impressive store displays…

…vendors sold autumnal crafts…

…cornhole boards…

…furniture…

…apparel…

…soap…

…and so much more.

For kids, there was face painting…

…ceramics…

…and some kids’ entertainment…

…while adults could take advantage of the beer tent…

…which was adjacent to the musical stage.

In terms of food, there was a main area…

…where festival goers could get chicken dinners…

…and various other dishes.

Or you could head out to the neighboring Mountain Men Encampment…

…and, if your were lucky, a 19th century camper would share some fire-cooked grub.
