New Paris Applefest – New Paris, Ohio – My Experience

2023 DATE: September 8-10, 2023

This post documents my experience on September 23, 2018.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning in New Paris…

…perfect for grabbing a freshly brewed cup of coffee (Baker’s Brew)…

…and exploring the AppleFest.

Right away, the colorful barn quilts and towels caught my eye…

…while other vendors had offerings that included local honey (Sugar Shack Bee Farm)…

…handmade jewelry (RedReba’s)…

…and assorted gifts.

A large entertainment tent sat in the middle of the festival grounds…

…set up with a music stage…

…and there were things to do all around the festival…

…whether checking out the coloring entries in the Contest Tent…

…taking an art class yourself…

…winning some prizes…

…getting a health screening (Premier Health)…

…or stopping at the Bug Guy’s table for some interesting bug facts.

In the back of the festival…

…kids could visit the animals for petting or pony rides…

…or burn some energy in the bounce house play area.

Both areas conveniently sandwiched the adult drinking area…

…so that mom and dad could watch their child while having a beer…

…or some apple wine from Old Schoolhouse Winery.

And speaking of apples…

…while there were nice food selections that included BBQ and tacos (left – Adam’s Rib BBQ)…

…I was really interested in the apple-esque offerings…

…like apple butter crepes (Funky Fusion Foods)…

…apple bison sliders (Fourman Family Concessions)…

…homemade apple dumplings from Delta Theta Tau…

…apple pie ice cream (Ullery’s)…

…and various apple products from Wesler Orchard

…including apples…

…apple dumplings, caramel apples…

…apple cheesecake…

…and delicious cider slushes.
