Happy Easter Weekend and Passover, Festival Fans!
I have just returned from an overdue trip to Kentucky and I’m a little underprepared from this upcoming Easter weekend. While I do have some chocolate purchased a few weeks ago and a rack of lamb in the freezer, I need to run out and get some eggs for coloring, jellybeans for the basket and various other goodies – although I shouldn’t overdue it after all the decadent things I ate while in Kentucky.
This is a particular weekend, festival-wise, because of the Easter holiday. First of all, there aren’t as many festivals going on. Granted, there are many Easter events out there this weekend, but many don’t meet the criteria (entertainment, food, vendors) to be listed here. This is also a particular weekend because it includes Easter Monday, which is the time to celebrate Dyngus Day, a popular Polish celebration in the cities of Cleveland (Ohio) and Buffalo (New York).

Other interesting festivals this weekend include The Little Richard Festival (Macon, Georgia), the Sebring Soda Fest (Florida), the Easter Surf Festival (Cocoa Beach, Florida) with surfing dogs, and Spring Market at the Farm (Scottsville, Kentucky).
