This year, I’ve been to and reviewed 36 festivals. There probably would have been more if I didn’t take a summer vacation in June, but I’m honestly not regretting it at all (it was a GREAT summer trip).
The festivals varied in theme and type…
…including beer fests (Columbus Winter Beerfest Review)…
…Annie Oakley fests (Annie Oakley Festival Review)…
…ethnic church fests (Taste of St. Casimir’s Review)…
…and even Bull Thistle fests (Bull Thistle Arts Festival Review).
There were a few setbacks in my travels…
…such as a festival that was more-or-less canceled (Pony Wagon Days Review)…
…a festival that didn’t quite start on time (Constitution Festival Review)…
…and an event that turned out to not be a festival in the end (Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition).
I never ended up reviewing this last one.
At the end of the year, some of my favorites were those I’ve already visited in the past…
…such as the Dandelion Festival (Review)…
…the Feast of the Assumption (Review)…
…and the Geauga County Maple Festival (Review)…
…while new festivals (to me) that particularly impressed me this year were…
…the Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival (Review)…
…the South Vienna Corn Festival (Review)…
…the Beavercreek Popcorn Festival (Review)…
…Lilyfest (Review)…
…and the Art in the Park Festival (Review).
It was a good year all-in-all and I even got to be in two parades…
…in the Doo Dah Parade (riding with one of the founders)…
…and in the Woollybear Festival Parade, representing the Ohiofestivals.net website.
It was a lot of fun!
