This post documents my experience on August 15, 2015.
When I arrived at Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival in Community Park…
…I couldn’t believe how many vendor booths there were (I later learned there are 180).

Items sold there varied from Recipes in a Jar to gourmet dog treats…

…from painted gourds to colorful footballs…

…from wooden bows and arrows to wooden signs…

…from things for the wall to things for the yard…

…and from 1960’s apparel to 1860’s apparel…
…thanks to a small living history area…
…where you could chat with reenactors about the past…
…or purchase a basket from them.
Along with booths offering first aid…
…or spreading awareness about breast cancer…
…there were an awful lot of local church booths either offering cooling stations…

…or giving away free water.
They even had your dog covered.
And all that water was helpful when taking advantage of the inflatables…
…pony rides…
…playgrounds…
…and belly dancing entertainment.
Then there were the foods, including funnel cakes…

…apple dumplings, fudge…
…Kentucky style pork chop sandwhiches (sic)…
…BBQ…
…and an entire Schmidt’s tent and seating area.
But if you weren’t planning on taking corn home with you (Brentlinger)…
…you went to the Lions Club festival food booth…
…where corn was shucked…
…dipped in butter…
…and served with corn fritters and chicken.
Yum!
