Christmas Festivals with a lot of Santa Claus and a dash of Krampus
This is likely the biggest Holiday Festival Weekend, Festival Fans, because of the large amount of Christmas Markets, Winterfests, Holiday Festivals and Craft Shows going on all over the state.
Let’s focus quickly first on the Christmas Festivals.
If you like an Old Fashioned Christmas, look to Christmas in Zoar, 1920’s Holidays on Main Street in Sauder Village (Archbold) and Dickens of a Christmas at Ohio Village (Columbus).
Looking for a more German feel? Try A Bavarian Christkindlmarkt (Parma) and the Weihnachtsmarkt in Eastlake.
If you’re looking for some downtown Light Up Festivals, check out Light Up Lakewood, Christmas in the Village Festival and Parade (Coolville) and the Lebanon Carriage Parade and Christmas Festival.
There’s even a Krampus Fest in Olmsted Falls on Saturday (check and make sure it’s not sold out).
There are so many Holiday Craft Shows and Markets this weekend, as well as Holiday Light Festivals that you can either walk or drive thru.
And, if none of these events fit your fancy, please know that many communities are having holiday events that simply didn’t have enough criteria to be listed on the Festival Guide. So check your local paper or Local Facebook Group to see if something is happening. For example, Oberlin is having an event called Walkin’ In a Winter Oberlin with various activities for the family this Saturday.
