45.) Dalton Holidays Festival Review – December 2, 2017

AUTHOR’S NOTE: I first visited the Dalton Holidays Festival in 2010.  You can read that experience here: https://ohiofestivals.net/98-dalton-holidays-festival-december-4-2010/

After 7 years, I returned to Dalton High School…

…to help celebrate the Dalton Holidays Festival.

As visitors tried their luck at the raffle…

…I made a stop at Mrs. Claus’ Pantry…

…to check out the various chocolates and pies.

Holiday music filled the air…

…as colorful Christmas scenes led festival goers down the hallway…

…where they were greeted by tables with crafts…

…crafts…

…and more crafts…

…only to circle back around and realize…

…that the gym was filled with still more.

Offerings were diverse with teapot birdhouses…

…snowshoe lamps…

…original paintings (Jack Nelson Salsburey)…

…amazing animal calls (Kingfish Gear)…

…and dog towels galore.

There were also plenty of holiday items via wreaths…

…ornaments made from old jewelry (Melanie’s Timeless Treasures)…

…snowmen and reindeer with illuminated noses…

…ceramic trees and houses…

…hand-painted Santas galore (Festive Treasures)…

…and various other holiday treasures (Ancestral Beginnings)…

…some of which even caught Mrs. Claus’ eye.

Aside from the crafts, the hallways were also a place for visitors to get close to an iguana (5th Day Aqua)…

…or explore rooms designated for a baking contest display…

…children’s arts and crafts…

…and a model train display.

And although there was food served in the school cafeteria (near the entrance)…

…I settled for some festive kettle corn for the road.
