Welcome back, Festival Fans!
As the chocolate dust settles from last weekend, we enter our last weekend before festivals really begin to take off.
Next weekend, along with Earth Day Celebrations, there will be many more festivals that include Tattoo, Asian Food, Book and Spring Festivals. The week after will bring still more festivals that celebrate Maple Syrup, Ramps, Asian Food, Hard Seltzer and Vikings.
Then, we get into May and things go crazy.
But, for now, we are still in April and it’s difficult to have many outdoor festivals in Ohio.
Fortunately, Ohio is serving up some interesting festivals this weekend.
In Perrysburg, you can dance the nights away at the Holy Toledo Polka Days, located primarily at the Holiday Inn. Entertainment includes such bands as Michael Costa & The Beat, PolkaMojo, Polka Country Musicians, Tony Blazonczyk’s New Phaze, DynaBrass and Eddie Biegaj & Crusade.

If you like Pinball, you like Beer and you love Pinball with Beer, you need to go to Girard for PinBrew Fest. You’ll get the chance to play over 70 pinball machines all set to Free Play as you enjoy beer from 6 local breweries, such as Birdfish and Missing Falls, and nosh on food from vendors that include Babcia’s Lunchbox, Smoke Worx and Armida Cucina.
And if you can’t get pierogi from Babcia’s in Girard, you can get them in Dayton during the Eastern European Heritage Experience. Located at the American Czechoslovakian Club, you can take in Eastern European art, dance, music and – last but not least – the food.
Finally, in Chillicothe, you can go to Earth Gathering, an art festival with an Earth Day theme with all sorts of art, vendors, food, music and more. It will be enlightening, educational and entertaining.
There are also some vendor shows going on throughout the state of Ohio.
