An Easter Weekend with Bacon, Spiderman, and Dyngus Day!
It’s Easter Weekend, Festival Fans, and this typically means not that many festivals in Ohio (and no shows or craft fairs at all).
But that only makes each of this weekend’s festivals more special.
In College Corner, Baconfest returns with bacon infused dishes, live music and “mud pie” eating contests.
Meanwhile, in Martins Ferry, there’s an Easter-themed food festival with food trucks offering tacos, pizza, BBQ and more. There will also be inflatables, kids’ games, a craft fair and very special guests: the Easter Bunny, Miss Chicky and Your Friendly Valley-Wide Spiderman.
Finally, on Easter Monday, Dyngus Day (My Review) returns to Cleveland as people play hooky from work so that they can wear red, squirt women with squirt guns, eat their fill of kielbasa and pierogi, and dance to all the polka DJ Kishka can dish out. A congrats in advance to our next Miss Dyngus.

Next weekend, there will be more festivals and then festival numbers will really pick up when Earth Day comes.
