This post documents my experience on July 14, 2018.

Near the canal in Canal Fulton…

…a festival celebrated the Olde Canal Days.

The main course of the festival ran down E. Cherry Street…

…with branches shooting down both North and South Canal Streets…

…an inflatable city starting the festival on one end…

…and the other end finishing with a large carnival area…

…with rides…

…games…

…and food.

I was actually impressed by all the food at the festival…

…with selections that included pulled pork sandwiches, grilled cheese and curds…

Menches burgers…

…BBQ (Redbeard’s)…

…perch, pierogi (Pierogi Joe’s)…

…a smoothie stand and a beer garden.

And while gift vendors offered comic books and toys (Toys Time Forgot)…

…Teddy bears and plush animals (Keillor’s)…

…food and treats for real animals (Barkly and Meows)…

…gem and crystal items…

…and pretty cool wood crafts…

…local organizations brought awareness to emergency services (Northwest Fire Explorers)…

…animal protection (Stark County Humane Society)…

…child protection (Project Child Safe)…

…our golden years (Chapel Hill)…

…and our faith (Messiah’s Thunder).

And finally, in terms of entertainment, the festival had two stages for musical performances…

…with the possibility of stumbling upon a street performer…

…or even a wandering frog (Stark Parks)…

…who could even potentially lead you off to a Trucks-N-Tykes event just a short walk from the festival…

…where there were various types of vehicles to get close to and climb on…

…including a cartoon-inspired vehicle…

…and even more food to enjoy (Cheezylicious/Waffle-O-Waffle).
