Marblehead Summerfest – Marblehead, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on July 23, 2016.

Even in the hot weather, the whole family wanted to check out the Marblehead Summerfest.

Max, pausing to consider the Vintage Car Ride…

…decided on a vehicle more his size.

Meanwhile, I strolled down the rows of vendors…

…where merchandise ranged from maritime decor and jewelry to clothing and accessories…

…ideas were written both in books by local authors (P.J. Grondin) and on cement (Thoughts in Cement)…

…sales benefited musical groups and animal-saving organizations (St. Joseph Choir/Another Chance Sanctuary)…

…and many represented businesses offered sweepstakes or giveaway incentives (Arnolds).

Near the vendors sat a covered area that served food…

…offering dishes that included some great-looking ribs and perch…

…and a tent next door had dessert options through a bake sale…

…as well as some raffles for gambling festival goers.

Of course, if you wanted a snow cone on this hot day, the carnival brought its owns fair food concessions…

…along with games…

…and plenty of other rides that Max dragged us on…

….which seemed frightening at first…

…but offered some great views.

From these views, I noticed a bouncing laser game in the distance in front of us.

But I had to turn around, follow various signs and pass this park…

…to find the Beer Tent where bands would perform later that day (I’m sure it was easy to find during the performances).
