I first documented the Lorain International Festival in 2010, which you can read at

This post documents my experience on June 24, 2016.

It was a beautiful day at Black River Landing…
…perfect for coming back and celebrating…
…Lorain’s 50th International Festival and Bazaar.
Down the main walkway…
…booths sold the cultural foods of Italy…
…Hungary (a very popular booth)…

…Poland…
…Austria…
…Puerto Rico…

…Thailand…

…and many other countries.
There was even Americana for those who wanted something a little more familiar.
Unfortunately, only a few booths were smart enough to have attractive menus…
…that were located high for all to see…
…since any line or crowd easily blocked menus that were low or on the counter.
But if a festival goer made his or her way up to the counter to see what they were selling…
…it could definitely be worth it.
And it was a good idea to walk around and explore since the area was big.
Kids could find a city of inflatables to jump on…
…as well as some small inflatables to take home.
And adults could find vendors…
…either held by local organizations…

…or by those who sold gifts and clothing.
There was also a great stage for musical entertainment…
…a smaller area for cultural entertainment…
…a covered area with a nice supply of beer…
…and even the Class of 1971 Reunion if you ventured toward the Black River.
But after all that exploring, hunger returned…
…and the Puerto Rican booths satisfied.
