Mulberry Creek Herb Fair Review – Huron, Ohio – My Experience

2023 DATE” JUNE 24-25, 2023

This post documents my experience on June 26, 2016.

It was the perfect morning for visiting Mulberry Creek Herb Farm

…and checking out their annual Herb Fair.

Mary Colvin was explaining Medieval medicinal herbs in a covered garden area (Ancestral Herbology)…

And vendors…

…found in a beautiful barn and an open yard…

…sold such nature-friendly items as homemade soaps…

…medicinal oils…

…organic laundry detergent…

…and eco-gardens.

There was also a New Age influence, since vendors also sold metaphysical supplies (It’s Your Journey)…

…various crystals (Asherah’s Garden)…

…and fairy merchandise.

We further explored the festival grounds…

…and checked out the farm’s fairy garden…

…and train display…

…and then noticed the Medieval influence…

…as re-enactors hung out in a Medieval tent and shared their knowledge…

…sometimes showing off their skills on an outside stage.

Finally, we made our way to the food tent…

…where there were offerings of fruit smoothies…

…baked goods…

…and full meals that included Cornish hen halves (seen here) and turkey legs.

On our way out, we collected some herbs as mementos, free since they were included in our admission ($5).

FYI – we picked out Thai basil and lavender.
