This post documents my experience on September 16, 2017.
Out in Delco Park…
…local beekeepers got together (Pittman Apiaries)…
…for a special event called HoneyFest…
…where they taught festival goers about bees…
…committed themselves in building stronger pollinators (Propolis Projects)…

…and offered free samples of their tasty local honey.
All around the area were posts that gave bee-related facts…
…oftentimes stressing the importance of pollination…
…but, along with the importance and seriousness of helping bees survive (OPHI)…
…the festival provided bee-related fun via a Spelling Bee…
…a Bee Healthy obstacle course (Kettering Recreation Complex)…

…bee arts and crafts…
…games…
…animals…
…and a swanky playground.
Vendors sold beekeeping supplies to present and future beekeepers (Antler Ridge)…
…pumpkins galore…

…a variety of honey and related products…
…homemade soaps (some with honey)…
…and homemade granola (also with honey) (Morning Granola).
Meanwhile, among the food trucks (Pa’s Pork)…
…there was a vendor who had honey in the BBQ sauce (Smokin’ Bee-Bee-Q).
