Glass Heritage Festival – Fostoria, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on July 19, 2013.

Although the city of Fostoria has a nearly 100 year history of making glassware and tableware before operations moved to Moundville, WV…

…let me start off to say that the only glass-related aspect of the Glass Heritage Festival is the Glass Heritage Gallery down this road and on the left…

…which I unfortunately didn’t know about until now (so no photos of that).

Instead, the festival should be looked upon more as a town festival…

…that offered a nice selection of carnival rides…

…pony rides…

…and a miniature golf course for the family.

Local organizations offered free water to festival goers (Dillon Road Baptist Church)…

…or raised money to help those in recovery (Dry Haven)…

…while vendors sold sports memorabilia…

…methods to quit smoking (Just Vape US)…

…and a crazy amount of purses.

There were also many food vendors…

…with walking tacos…

…dogs…

…and wraps.

And as the day faded away, people started flocking to the tent…

…getting a cold beer…

…and enjoying Allie and the Rockers

…Fostoria’s own.
