Beer, Bourbon, Chocolate and Ice (with more chocolate).
Welcome back, festival fans.
If you missed your chance for a beer festival last weekend in Columbus, you can head to the Winter Edition of the Cincy Beerfest this weekend.
If you need something a little stronger, there’s the Hamilton Rotary Bourbon and Chocolate Festival going on. This is nice for those that like bourbon, those who like chocolate and those who like bourbon AND chocolate.
But there is a second – and less obvious – festival this weekend where you can enjoy some chocolate and that’s at Vermilion’s Ice-A-Fair. Since this festival takes place right in downtown Vermilion, you’ll need to go by Brummer’s Chocolates at some point and there are plenty of delicious chocolates inside.
Apart from these festivals, there are some expos, shows and psychic fairs this weekend. As I’ll continue to say over the year: more are coming.

I have finished updating festival listings through the month of August and will soon be starting the month of September – the biggest of festival months in Ohio. As I’ve said before, as I continue to confirm dates on the Ohio Festival Guide, you’ll notice events being added to the city guides: Akron-Canton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Toledo.
I’m hoping to have gone through all of 2023 by mid-February. I’ll later go though the unconfirmed dates again in March.
If you see a festival with an asterisk and you know the 2023 date, please let me know and I’ll update it ASAP. As I like to say – help me help you.
