I came to the North Ridgeville Corn Festival right around lunchtime…

…and had difficulty choosing my lunch among all the selections.

Not only were there Philly Cheese Steaks, bbq pork ribs…

…hot dogs and lake perch…

…but there were also Puerto Rican and Creole dishes…

…chicken paprikash, potato pancakes…

…fresh cut fries, bubble waffles…

…and corn in two styles – butter and Mexican…

…so I got both.

I also nabbed a delicious lobster roll from the Berardi’s truck…

…sampled some of the porch and rice from Island City

…and considered some kettle corn for dessert.

Among the food vendors and in a festival section just north of there…

…I noticed many community organizations participating in the festival with raffles, freebees and the disbursement of information…

…as they helped festival goers navigate through such things as politics…

…religion…

…and even some history.

There were also various vendors offering clothing and accessories…

…a variety of honey products…

…and more creative items like handmade mini food earrings and jewelry…

…cute crocheted critters and 3-D printed corn.

While eating corn was definitely a festival highlight, there were also many other activities to enjoy…

…including live music performances…

…a craft area (for kids)…

…a beer garden (for adults)…

…photo ops (for both)…

…and, just across the park…

…a small carnival area…

…with rides and games…

…although there were also some rides…

…and a game or two in the main festival area.

And, if you followed this crocheted corn crafter…

…or the arrow on this sign…

…to this building above…

…you could enjoy a fine crafts show and your luck in a raffle in air-conditioned comfort.
