2023 DATE: June 17, 2023
This post documents my experience on June 18, 2022.
At the home of the Ohio Renaissance Festival…
…festival goers came to celebrate the one-day Celtic Fest Ohio.
Some of the Renaissance Festival storefronts were closed for the event…
…but many others opened back up or rented their shop…
…to not only offer kilts and accessories for festival-loving Celts…

…but also chainmail jewelry and accessories, leather dragons (Dark Hammer/Dragon Hatchery)…
…and all sorts of attire…
…so that they could express themselves properly.
Visiting vendor booths were added to the grounds along pathways and open spaces…

…offering Celtic and Irish items and clothing (Celtic Corner Store/Irish Imports)…
…Celtic fine jewelry…

…pewter goblets, horned masks…
…all sorts of adorable critters…
…and plenty of wooden weapons for the kids.

In-between the shopping, visitors could practice their throwing…
…shooting…
…swinging…
…petting (Cú & Craic Irish Wolfhound Club)…
…and toe-tapping, thanks to great music entertainment (Bastard Bearded Irishmen)…
There were all sorts of interesting things to find while searching the grounds (42nd Royal Highland Regiment)…
…including educational demonstrations (Miller’s Border Collies).
…a petting zoo…

…visiting clans…

…and all sorts of adult refreshment stations…
…including one that offered a big pint of Guinness.

Food places, meanwhile, were a little limited in number…
…meaning a long wait for the good spots…

…especially if you wanted Celtic-inspired dishes and turkey legs…
…so just be sure to plan accordingly.
