Eat your Dandelions, Explore the World, Visit the Glass Garden and so much more!
Welcome back, Festival Fans.
The festivals are becoming more and more interesting as this weekend offers a lot of possibilities.
First of all, one of my favorite festivals is going on at Dover’s Breitenbach Winery – maker of that Dandelion Wine you may have noticed at Heinen’s or other special local markets – as they bring back their Dandelion May Fest (Review).
Not only can you enjoy Dandelion wine and sangria, but they have various dandelion foods…
…including delicious dandelion gravy (excuse the old photograph).
There are also cooking demos, all sorts of vendors and more!
You can also explore the world this weekend by heading to Dayton Convention Center for A World A’Fair, where 35 organizations represent over 50 countries with performances and international food a-plenty!
Or head to Laurelville for the Jack Pine (who makes those beautiful glass pumpkins) Glass Garden Art Festival. This outdoor show will feature local artists, food vendors, live music and more!
And that’s not all!
Birders and animal lovers can appreciate the northern migration of warblers during the Biggest Week in American Birding (Review) in the Oak Harbor area (Magee Marsh, etc.)…
… lovers of art can get their girlfriend tattooed on their shoulder by some of the best at the Toledo Tattoo Festival…
…and history enthusiasts can enjoy the Ohio Civil War and Artillery Show in Mansfield, the Century Village Viking Fest in Burton, or explore the Ohio History Center in Columbus while enjoying Ohio craft beer at Six One Pour.
This weekend, there are also Spring Festivals, a Children’s Book Festival, a Wine Festival, Vendor Shows and more.
