West Salem Town and Country Firefighters Festival – West Salem, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on June 30, 2018.

We arrived at the Town and Country Firefighters Festival just after 10 (the festival opened at 9)…

…heading first to the car show…

…where we looked for the more unique vehicles.

Next to the car show was a cluster of booths…

…where the West Salem Historical Society raffled a gift basket…

…Quota International sold entries to a ball drop…

…and area churches had popcorn, snowcones, face painting (West Salem Church of God)…

…water, baked goods (donation) and photo ops (NorthWinds Church).

We went by a flag/knife/jewelry vendor…

…and an educational Safety House (Wayne Co. Fire Rescue Assn)…

…and made our way to a pavilion…

…where there were cash and quilt raffles.

…a firefighter benefit bake sale…

…and some locally made cupcakes (Molly’s Cupcakery).

As kids took advantage of the park playground and the free inflatables…

…the stage was still being set up for later…

…the kids games area was almost complete…

…and the prize games and dunk tape were closed for a later hour.

Fortunately, all food trucks seemed to be ready with meals…

…snacks…

…and dessert.

We chose something in the midst of all three (Lerch’s)…

…by means of some delicious breakfast donuts.
