Cleveland Pizza Fest – Berea, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on June 23, 2018.

The Cleveland Pizza Fest took place at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds…

…with offerings that included live entertainment…

…a car show…

…games and prizes…

…a cornhole tournament…

…inflatables…

…a mechanical bull…

Magical Train rides…

…and an Arts and Crafts Pavilion…

…where vendors sold sports signs…

…beautiful Ukrainian Easter eggs (Ukrainian Psyanky)…

…and handmade jewelry (My Turquoise Kitten)…

…including delicious festival-themed options!

Most vendors lined up along the festival grounds…

…sold things like windows or gutters…

…but there were also nostalgic Cleveland prints…

…Italian apparel for showing off your green, white and reds…

…and booths from non-profit foundations to help save lives and build our community (Ohio Suicide Prevention/North End Foundation).

But even with all these options…

…people were here for the pizza (Lorenzo’s)…

…whether pan pizza (Upper Crust)…

…wood-fired pizza (Fire and Ice)…

…pita pizza…

…pocket pizza…

…or just your traditional slice (Jet’s).

There were around 10 pizza vendors in total, each selling slices ranging from 2-3 dollars (Fire Truck/Mama Julianne’s)…

…and, while there was also a great selection of non-pizza options…

…not-to-mention all the beer…

…and desserts to accompany…

…I stuck with only pizza with slices that included refreshing ricotta and basil (DiLauro’s)…

…a salty sweet Hawaiian (Cameo)…

…and a decadent mac and cheese (and chicken) (Angelo’s).
