This post documents my experience on July 21, 2018.
Deep in Parma’s Ukrainian Village…
…the dark clouds were breaking up over St. Vladimir’s…
…so that everyone could come and celebrate the Ukrainian Village Festival.
Behind the church…
…kids fueled up on snow cones…

…and used inflatables to burn off the sugar…
…all while adults enjoyed a friendly game of corn hole…
…helped a good cause (Cleveland Maidan Association)…
…shopped among Ukrainian T-shirts…

…books, eggs and mouse pads…
…and purchased either ribs, shish-kabobs or kolbasi…
…after being seduced by the smells produced by the nearby grill.
Inside the cultural center…
…festival goers were greeted by a full bar…
…followed by a large dining area…
…where they could wait in line for ethnic delicacies…
…such as pierogi and cabbage and noodles…
…and then go to a separate station…
…for the perfect dessert.
Music performances and dancing…

…entertained guests as they ate and drank…
…while other nearby attractions included a large raffle…
…and an Arts and Crafts area…
…where offerings included jewelry…
…dolls…
…embroidered towels…
…and beautifully decorated pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs).
