I love cake and I love pie, but sometimes they are hard to find apart from a birthday party or Thanksgiving.
That’s why I’m typically excited to walk into a new (to me) restaurant and learn that there are homemade pies on the menu. While I typically don’t get dessert when eating out, I have strategized my food order to accommodate a nice tall slice of pie.
I’m even more excited to find a bakery that sells slices of cake, as this is much less common to find, and I’d pass up hundreds of cupcakes for a slice of cake any day of the week.
Therefore, I thought about making this list of bakeries and restaurants that offer slices of cake and/or pie as both a “Thank You” to these establishments and a “You’re Welcome” to the people who want to buy them.
I will divide the listings into sections of Ohio (NW, NE, SW, SE, Columbus), where they will be ordered alphabetically by city name.
Also about this list:
- Businesses must sell cake/pie by the slice.
- Restaurants must have desserts clearly marked on online menu or there must be proof of pies via websites like Yelp.
- Chain/franchise restaurants are not included
- Deli/restaurants with cheesecake/cake coolers where selections are not listed on menu are not included
- Cheesecakes and cupcakes are not considered to be cake in this listing.
