Strawberry Fest – Brunswick, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on June 12, 2016.

On a cool and sunny Sunday morn, we headed to Mapleside Farms

…to check out their Strawberry Fest.

50’s music sounded through the air (thanks to a DJ)…

…as we walked through an impressive car show…

…that ran all around the festival grounds…

…and had everything from Mayberry…

…to fun Halloween-esque vehicles.

There was a vendor area for the shoppers with products that included stained glass…

…rugs…

…homemade soaps…

…wooden furniture…

…and household items made out of auto parts.

And for kids not interested in either cars or shopping, there was an admission play area where they could pass the time with gratuitous jumping…

…and climbing on structures and tires.

But let’s not forget about the strawberries – the main reason we came to the festival.

After a sensible sandwich or burger from the Snack Shak…

…visitors could either indulge in a strawberry sundae…

…or make a stop at the Everything Strawberry booth.

Here, there was such a variety of strawberry foods that it became difficult to choose only one or two things.

See for yourself.

But we finally decided on a strawberry shortcake and a nice salty buttery strawberry pretzel dessert and left the festival with a smile.
