AUTHOR’S NOTE: I’ve reviewed this festival back in 2010, which you can read here – https://ohiofestivals.net/59-st-nicholas-greek-festival-lorain-september-9-2010/
Since some time has passed, I have a better camera, and I was planning on going there anyway for some grub, I decided to write a more updated experience.
This post documents my experience on September 10, 2015.

As the daylight began to fade over St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church…
…the lights on the Greek Festival sign only illuminated brighter.
A line of cars waited patiently for their gyros and fries…
…but we wanted more options with the indoor menu…
…so we went inside and collected a delicious gyros, moussaka, pastitsio, spanakopita, tiropita…
…and a nice assortment found in the sampler plate.
The festival also offered soft drinks and alcohol at the tavern…
…a station for baklava sundaes and honey-covered doughnuts…
…and – down this hallway…
…beyond the silent auction…
…and just passed the clothing and jewelry shop…
…there was my favorite room – the pastry shop.
Here is where we purchased goodies that included passion fruit and chocolate cakes…

…as well as a nice assortment of homemade treats.
There was plenty of seating indoors to enjoy our food…
…but we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and eat outdoors.
And as the festival patrons inside were entertained by music and dance…
…we were running outside and burning off an overdose of honey.
I think the kids’ area comes up Friday.
