The Russia (pronounced “ROO-shee”) Homecoming Festival…
…is a small community festival that takes place on the grounds of St. Remy Hall.
To one side, there’s a carnival area with rides…
…games…
…and food…
…while another side has gambling tents for the evening…
…a fancy stand, a cake booth…
…and a rather popular dunk tank.
Activities this year included an exotic animal zoo…
…a petting zoo…
…a cornhole tournament…
…various competitions (kiddie tractor pull)…
…and a car racetrack game.
But the heart of the festival was here under the big tent…
…where there were food stations…
…beer…
…a stage for evening entertainment…
…and a place to watch the game.
