It was a rather hot evening when I returned to the St. Paul Grecian Festival.
As some festival supporters picked up dinner from the comforts of their air-conditioned vehicles…
…others defied the heat as they waited under the sun for their grilled lamb chops.
More food could be found in the large dining tent…
…where hungry patrons got in line for gyros and Greek sausage…
…or grabbed a refreshing drink at the bar…
…as The Stigma Band performed on stage.

While there was also a few vendor booths in the dining tent…
…there were even more in the neighboring tent…
…where guests could browse through wooden gifts, Greek T-shirts…
…jewelry…
…lanterns and more.
Up the stairs and past the outdoor patio…
…many more guests were enjoying their food inside…
…as Dimitri provided the ambiance.
Along walls and in passageways, vendors sold vinegar and oils…
…fine jewelry…
…and chocolate truffles with alcohol (The Bom)…
…but it was finally time I got in one of the two lines…
…for a delicious lamb shank and pastitsio dinner.
And, if you know me, you’ll know I also got into the dessert line…
…for my favorites: galaktoboureko and pineapple and cheese.
