Celebrate Mother’s Day with Lilacs, Bird Watching and Tacos.
Welcome back, festival fans.
Since it’s Mother’s Day Weekend, the festival numbers are decreasing a bit (they’ll pick back up next weekend) but there are some fests that your mom may enjoy.
In terms of Fairs and Shows, for example, there’s a Spring Home and Garden Show in Dover, Trade Days in Chillicothe and a Gazebo Garden Walk in Wellington.
Is your mom a bird watcher? Then take her to the Oak Harbor area for the Biggest Week in American Birding (Review), when warblers head north once more and stop at the shores of Lake Erie to rest and eat before crossing…
…much to the delight of many-a-bird-watcher.
How about flowers? In Defiance this weekend, you can enjoy the Lilac Festival and Street Fair (Review) with food vendors, children’s activities, vendors and more.
There’s also Maifest in Zoar, the Indianola Informal Carnival in Columbus and the Real Taco Fest in Cincinnati.
I’m sure your mom love tacos!
