Valentine’s Day, Paczki and the Kurents!
Welcome back, festival fans.
We just got a taste of some warmer weather and there may be more ahead, especially if the Slovenian Kurents have their way on Saturday.
The Cleveland Kurentovanje Winter Festival (Review) returns to Cleveland so that the Kurents can parade down the street, ring their bells and shake their sticks to scare the winter away. Plenty of delicious food, music and merriment to accompany the celebration.
It’s also Valentine’s Day on Saturday. So, if you haven’t already made a dinner reservation, you can take your beloved to the Chocolate Lovers’ Fest in Genoa, the We Love Beer in Cincinnati, Hearts Afire Weekend in Loveland or choose among a variety of Vendor, Reptile, Comic and Home and Garden Shows (just depends on your interest).
And don’t forget that Fat Tuesday is this coming Tuesday, February 17 and it’s the day of the paczki!
The 2026 Paczki Guide will help you either find one now or help you get their order in for Mardi Gras.
