This post documents my experience on June 23, 2024 when it took place at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds.
While the sky was dark and threatening over the Trumbull County Fairgrounds…
…there were more things to fear on foot.
Welcome to the Ohio Viking Festival…
…where you could explore a Viking Village…
…take a shot at your best mate…

…and find opportunities to let out all of your aggressions.
But if you preferred a show, there was a combat arena to enjoy skirmishes…
…the Field of Odin, which hosted the Jousting Show…

…and multiple stages for dance and music performances…
…which you were sure to enjoy (The Sirens).
Vendors could be found either lining the midway…
…or in the Merchant Hall…

…and they offered everything from plants to puppets…

…crystals to illuminated pyramids…

…leather-bound books to leather creations…
…kitchenware…
…drinking horns…
…Norse god candles…

…all sorts of artistic pieces…

…all sorts of wardrobe options…

…and all sorts of weaponry, whether made out of metal, wood…
…and even foam.

Food trucks were also plentiful, serving up Polish and Cajun Cuisines…

…wings, gyros, sandwiches…
…bourbon chicken, dragon eggs…
…and huge caramel apples (with homemade caramel).
I stopped here to try out the bierocks…
…and this stuffed pastry pocket…
…was a sweet ending to my festival experience.
