64.) Hudson Christkindlmarkt Review – December 15, 2018

On a chilly day in downtown Hudson…

…a Christkindlmarkt (German Christmas market) took place on the Clocktower Green…

…with Christmas music performances (Blaskapelle)…

…free candy canes for the kids (Howard Hanna)…

…and various vendors spread about…

…offering warm alpaca clothing (Whistler’s Glen)…

…beautiful silver jewelry (The Silver Dragon)…

…handmade cajons and hand percussion instruments (JDub)…

…palm free soaps (Usoapia)…

…carved wooden toys (The Toymaker)…

…and various Christmas decor via holiday greenery…

…table top Christmas trees (The Woman’s Club of Hudson)…

…and beaded ornaments (Beads and Pieces).

With such chilly temperatures about…

…a mug with warm apple cider (even with bratwurst) warmed up many visitors (Hudson’s Restaurant)…

…as did the hot potato pancakes and silky crepes (The Bluegrass Kitchen Mobile Cafe).

But most food vendors sold sweeter delicacies, such as fruit and cheese strudels (The Original Strudel Factory)…

…nut rolls and apple kuchen (Reinecker’s Bakery)…

pferrernusse, lebkuchen bars, fruitcakes (Ricky and Charlie’s Country Kitchen)…

…inviting loaves of stollen (Great Lakes Baking Company)…

…and enormous cookies stuffed with Oreos (Fat T’s Cookies)…

…which became the perfect distraction for my two year old…

…before getting a picture with St. Nick and Krampus (Krampus of Cleveland).
