Houston Community Classic Festival – Houston, Ohio – My Experience

Date: Cancelled for 2023.

This post documents my experience on June 24, 2017.

It was a little after 11 AM behind Hardin-Houston High School…

…and, although the Houston Community Classic Festival had officially begun…

…I should have known that some activities, such as dunking…

…gambling…

…live entertainment…

…and alcoholic consumption would start at a later time.

Fortunately, under the big tent…

…local organizations already had food ready as they served pork loin sandwiches (Congregational Christian Church)…

…hamburgers and brats (Houston Community Assoc.)…

…and cake via a cake wheel (Houston Livestock).

After a nice early lunch, festival goers could leisurely check out a classic car…

…try their luck on a raffle…

…or burn off some calories in one of the jump houses.

Fortunately, I was just in time…

…to see the kiddie tractor pull…

…a competition that is simply adorable!
