Fall into Avon Festival – Avon, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on September 7, 2014.

In Avon’s French Creek District…

…clusters of booths were set up both along Detroit Road…

…and in hidden pockets only a short distance away…

…to celebrate the Fall into Avon Festival.

Signs helped people find festival attractions…

…which included a large car show…

…an adopt-a-critter station…

…and a Kids’ Pavilion…

…where there were activities and entertainment…

…a jump house…

…a skateboard park…

…and an Avon Police Department Kid Print station.

Most people came for the sidewalk sales…

…where both businesses…

…and regional dealers…

…sold items that included bells…

…furniture…

…seasonal antique decor…

…and various curious items…

…that you could find on chairs…

…on trees…

…or tucked away in gardens!

Other vendors sold non-antique items such as jewelry…

…recycled plate art…

…clothing (Wandering Wardrobe)…

…fresh produce…

…food…

…and dessert (Weber’s/Bellaria Patisseries)…

…although there was also a main Taste of Avon section…

…where we found some tender ribs from Mulligan’s

…to enjoy with a pleasant performance by the Vermilion Community Concert Band.
