Dutch Valley Fall Festival – Sugarcreek, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on September 16, 2016.

I set my navigation for the Dutch Valley Market

…in order to visit the Dutch Valley Fall Festival.

At first, when I stepped out into the parking lot…

…I only saw a few cute craft vendors (Morgan’s Special Treasures)…

…a sample and sandwich booth from the market…

…and some inflatables.

But then I was pointed to a pathway…

…where the festival continued…

…and I realized that the festival was surrounded by an inn…

…and various businesses for some rather convenient shopping.

But that’s not to say there wasn’t already shopping to be had at the festival, as it offered handmade rugs…

…baskets…

…brooms…

…and more.

And kids likely preferred the festival to the shops, since there was a playground…

…critters from The Farm at Walnut Creek

…(how could you resist?)…

…and rides on the kid-sized train.

Adults, I should mention, had riding opportunities all their own.

Finally, the festival offered information about some upcoming shows (Ohio Star Theater)

…and fundraising events (Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County)…

…as well as some sweet kettle corn…

…the perfect accompaniment to a musical show.
