It was time to come home…
…and St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church was bidding me a proper farewell.
As I may have mentioned at the beginning of the trip, I was able to use miles for a discounted Business First ticket to London…
…and a discounted World First ticket back.
So when I checked into the United Club at Heathrow Airport, I was told there was an even more elite club behind me…
…where I found a nice dining area with a full bar, snacks…
…hot bar…
…and desserts.
I got a little grub off the hot bar…
…and enjoyed a little cake.
It was only before leaving that I saw a menu I could have ordered from as well.
If only I had more time.
On the plane…
…my seat was very spacious…
…and I had to apply a shoulder strap for both take-off and landing.
The soup was delicious…
…the beef was not (overcooked)…
…but I was able to nab some sushi at Newark.
Later on, I would be picked up from Cleveland Hopkins by my wonderful wife and I would tell her about the fantastic trip I had in England and Iceland.
It was the perfect adventure before my 42nd birthday…which is tomorrow.
Hope you enjoyed the read!
