A Taste of Hungary Festival – Columbus, Ohio – My Experience

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Over this weekend, powerful thunderstorms passed through the area and caused problems with many of the festivals that I attended either through delays, destruction or the cancellation of events. Please keep this in mind when reading these reviews, as my experience may not be the most typical.

2018 UPDATE: This festival has moved to St. Ladislas Church (Columbus).

This post documents my experience on July 20, 2013.

In Hungarian Village…

…the Hungarian Reformed Church was putting on a festival…

…signaled by a door sign and three colorful balloons.

Thanks to the rain…

…the Taste of Hungary Festival took place in the fellowship hall…

…where they sold souvenirs…

…and food…

…that included sausages…

…dessert plates…

…and a few other items.

Unfortunately, I had arrived after the rush…

…and after the band…

…so I used my remaining time to check out the wall decor…

…talk with with some of the parishioners about bacon roasts

…and go through the mugs.
