This post documents my experience on September 29, 2012.
Deep inside the Montgomery Fairground Coliseum…
…(found just beyond the Cold Stone Creamery truck)…
…the Christian Faith and Friends Radio was putting on a bonanza-themed festival…
…to celebrate chocolate.
As festival goers entered the door, kids were given paper bags to collect chocolate samples offered at participating booths…
…that sold homemade chocolate candies (Rhonda)…
…healthy chocolate (My Dr Chocolate)…
…brewed chocolate (Choffy)…
…chocolate fondue equipment (Velata)…

…and various chocolate goodies baked by local churches.
Overall, I would say I was disappointed with the festival because I had been hoping to find a greater presence of professional area chocolatiers amidst these booths…

…even if they did have a chocolate moose and Willy Wonka.
But, at the same time, I also admit to being intrigued by some of the non-chocolate booths…
…that educated festival goers about networks for marketplace Christians (CMN)…
…offered courses to help nurture relationships and marriages (Marriage Works)…
…and grabbed your attention by means of an awesome chicken costume to help you learn more about holistic clinical pharmacy (RX Integrative Solutions).
Cluck-cluck, little buddy. You rock!
Other festival elements were represented…
…thanks to this window that sold your basic grub…
…musical entertainment on the main stage…

…and a children’s area for games and gratuitous jumping.
There was even a longhorn in front to go along with the theme.
But as it became increasingly problematic to walk down the narrow aisles with so many slow moving festival goers (as well as indecisive strollers)…
…it was only a matter of time before I broke free from there.
