Welcome back, festival fans.
Mardi Gras is coming and, for those familiar with Polish traditions…
…this means paczki.
I’ve decided to put together an Ohio Paczki Guide to help you find local bakeries that were making them. This does NOT include grocery chains, as you should be able to also find them at Giant Eagle, Meijer, Kroger, etc.
Instead, I’ve included places where you should be able to walk in and find a variety of paczki like at Kiedrowski’s and Rudy’s and other local favorites.
If you don’t see your favorites, please let me know. I am adding bakeries where paczki are mentioned on the website and/or Facebook page (I don’t want to lead readers astray).
Hopefully, I’ll use and add to this list for years to come.

As we slowly get through this winter, I’m happy to report some fun Winter Festivals I love are returning this weekend.
The first is Brite Winter (Review) along Cleveland’s East Bank of the Flats. This festival offers art, games, music, fire (aka heat) and all sorts of fun. There is an admission charge now with $12 General Admission and upgraded tickets that can either get you some swag or cozier and warmer festival access.
The second is the Burning Snowman Fest (Review) in Port Clinton. This is an adult only event (kids can attend The Family Freeze on Friday) with plenty of music, food vendors and more. Admission for this fest is $35 at the gate and $25 in advance. The Burn happens at 7:30 pm to chase the winter away.
Beyond that, there’s also a BeatleFest in Kent, the winter edition of the Cleveland Beerfest, the Perrysburg Winterfest and an assortment of Vendor Shows, Expos and more.

If you didn’t already know, any date with an asterisk (*) means that I haven’t confirmed that event. Once the date is confirmed by me, I remove the asterisk and update the listing as necessary. Certain events will also get copied over to the Cleveland Festival Guide, the Columbus Festival Guide or the Cincinnati Festival Guide.
Currently, I have just gone through August and I’ve also updated March.
Soon I’ll be working on September, which is a monster of a month.
As an FYI, just because the event has an asterisk doesn’t mean that the official festival website linked to the event isn’t already updated. So feel free to check it, just to be sure.
