AUTHOR’S NOTE: In 2019, the festival moved to Lorain.
I revisited the festival in 2021, which you can read at https://ohiofestivals.net/the-summer-market-lorain
This post documents my experience on July 25, 2014.

Along the picturesque shores of Lake Erie…
…there’s an annual festival called The Summer Market…
…where nearby churches and public buildings give up their parking lots…
…so that locals can enjoy music…
…get their produce (Pickering Hill)…
…and shop among dozens of vendors…
…selling everything from racks/cabinets from reclaimed wood (My Wood Loft)…
…homemade soap (Toot Sweet)…
…ornamental lawn decor…
…antique/vintage button bracelets (Button Down Designs)…

…handmade items (Emmie’s/Sew Appealing)…
…furniture (Chic Your Shabby)…
…furniture (Rye Lane)…
…furniture (Treasure and Tea)…
…your occasional yellow cow cookie jar…
…and still more furniture (Vintage Songbird).
Truth be told, this wasn’t your typical festival…

…as there were plenty of great artistic…

…vintage…
…and eclectic pieces to check out or purchase.

And there were also some nice food options (Sweet!/Farenheit)…
…that included such local restaurants as Cafe Melissa…
…and Humble Pie…
…just as long as you gave yourself time for the lines.
